Hello! My name is Margaret Okakpu, and I am a licensed Master of Social Worker (LMSW) and practicing therapist. I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work from Temple University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I am a therapist who works with young adults navigating life transitions, identity development, and mental health challenges. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, I strive to create a safe space where clients can explore their experiences, build coping strategies, and move toward greater balance and self-confidence. My therapeutic approach is an integrative blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, which allows me to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals. My practice is rooted in respect, empathy, and a belief that healing happens in partnership.
Together, let’s take meaningful steps to help you regain control of your life, your thoughts, and your actions. I offer an open and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, unpack fears, and build healthier ways of thinking and being. My goal is to support you in cultivating a life that feels more joyful, grounded, and fulfilling.
Margaret is currently an independent clinician working under the supervision of Rick Casey, DSW, LCSW in accordance with Connecticut state licensure requirements.
